The Solterra Resort HOA establishes and maintains codes and restrictions that govern the external appearance of private property within the community. The HOA approves or denies applications for exterior alterations to private property according to the established codes and restrictions.

The Solterra Resort Community Development District (CDD) is a local, special purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, established on July 14, 2004 and created by Ordinance No. 13-030 of Polk county as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
